Review: MAC Powder Blush in Harmony

Review: MAC Powder Blush in Harmony

Back when I was clueless about makeup, I had absolutely no idea what to buy to contour my face. So a trip to the MAC store was in order. The lady there that helped me was really nice but I think she ended up grabbing a product that worked better for her skin tone than mine. So here’s a review on MAC’s powder blush in Harmony. It’s described as a, “muted-rose beige brown“. I find it to be a little too orange toned to contour with and an unflattering blush on my skintone. Housed in typical black MAC packaging with a clear lid to view the product. It’s a matte finish, pigmented and blends out easily. Unfortunately, the colour just doesn’t do it for me. It retails for $27.00 (Canadian) for 6 g / 0.21 oz of product.

Product Description:

Designed by and for professionals, formulated to provide fantastic colour with ease and consistency. Applies evenly, adheres lightly to skin to achieve a natural-looking application of colour that stays put all day.

Pros:

  1. Warm toned, although very unflattering on myself I could imagine it would look great on darker skin tones as either a blush or contour
  2. Matte finish, gives you a very natural flush of colour and makes it easy to wear anywhere
  3. Pigmented, takes very little product to get a nice flush going on
  4. Price,  retails for $27.00 (Canadian) for 6 g / 0.21 oz of product. I’m not much of a blush expert so I can’t really say whether it’s a good price point for this amount of product or not
  5. Easy to blend, long wearing; you’ll love this product

Cons:

  1. Shade, could look a little orange if you have a fair skin tone
  2. Price,  retails for $27.00 (Canadian) for 6 g / 0.21 oz of product. I’m not much of a blush expert so I can’t really say whether it’s a good price point for this amount of product or not
